As a fourth generation filmmaker, Nic has extensive experience of the British film and television industry. From a background in art and photography, Nic began his career as an assistant cameraman in documentaries, before moving into feature films and television drama.
During his time working up through the grades, Nic began to shoot independent projects, winning awards including Best Cinematography at the California Independent Film Festival (Devilwood). He has continued to be recognised for his main unit work in television drama and independent features, winning Best Cinematography at the British Horror Film Festival for the feature film The Holding.
Most recently, Nic has completed shooting on Seasons 1 & 2 of Deep State, a geopolitical spy thriller for Fox.
In parallel with his main unit work, he continues to shoot second unit for a number of prominent directors including Reed Morano (The Rhythm Section), Barry Levinson (Rock The Kasbah), Neil Jordan (Ondine & Byzantium), Oliver Parker (St Trinians 2), Guy Ritchie (Rock’n’Rolla) and Dominic Cooke CBE (On Chesil Beach).
Nic is a member of the Guild Of British Camera Technicians.
