As a fourth generation filmmaker, Nic has extensive experience of the British film and television industry. Studies in art and architecture, combined with a lifelong love of photography, led to a first job in cameras in 1991. His early work revolved around documentary, underwater, aerial camerawork, settling eventually into feature films and television drama, working up through the department to Director of Photography.
Most recently, Nic has completed two seasons of Deep State for Fox and the independent feature film Falling For Figaro. In parallel with his main unit work, he continues to shoot second unit for a number of prominent directors including Reed Morano (The Rhythm Section), Barry Levinson (Rock The Kasbah), Neil Jordan (Ondine & Byzantium), Oliver Parker (St Trinians 2), Guy Ritchie (Rock’n’Rolla) and Dominic Cooke CBE (On Chesil Beach).
Nic has been recognised for his work, with nominations and wins for several short films and features including at the California Independent Film Festival and the Manhattan Short Film Festival.
Nic is a member of the Guild Of British Camera Technicians.
