Studies in art and architecture, combined with a lifelong love of photography, led Nic to his first job in cameras. He began in documentary, underwater and aerial camerawork, moving eventually to feature films and television drama. He worked up through the department to Director of Photography, winning several festival awards along the way.
Most recently, Nic has completed 6 episodes for Sony series Outlander, which will be released across 2023 & 2024. Amongst other projects due for upcoming release is The Marvels for Marvel Studios, on which Nic worked as Director of Photography over a number of units as well as Camera Operator on the main unit.
Last year saw the release to cinemas and to Netflix of the independent feature film Falling For Figaro as well as the broadcasting of new series Annika.
In parallel with his main unit work, Nic has continued to shoot second unit for a number of prominent directors including Reed Morano (The Rhythm Section), Barry Levinson (Rock The Kasbah), Neil Jordan (Ondine & Byzantium), Oliver Parker (St Trinians 2), Guy Ritchie (Rock’n’Rolla) and Dominic Cooke (On Chesil Beach).
